Promoting tradition of national unity, religious unity

On the afternoon of January 21, Mr. Pham Quang Nghi, member of the Politburo, Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee received Cardinal Fernando Filoni, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples and Cardinal Nguyen Van Nhon, President Catholic Archbishop of Hanoi to greet Tet Lunar 2015.

Cardinal Fernando Filoni, Cardinal Nguyen Van Nhon and the delegation gave Mr. Pham Quang Nghi the good wishes. Cardinal Filoni expressed good impression about the country and people of Vietnam, Hanoi during his first visit and highly appreciated the achievement of economy, social culture of Hanoi in recent years.
 
Party Secretary Pham Quang Nghi welcomed the visit of Cardinal Fernando Filoni; affirming the Party, the State of Vietnam and government capital always respect the freedom of religion or belief, and attaches great importance to preserve and promote the tradition of national unity, religious unity. Metropolitan Government welcomed the solidarity, the consensus of the people in the province with the spirit of "Dear God, patriotism," "Living the gospel in the hearts of the nation". Parishioners have made a positive contribution to the construction and development of the capital and the country.

 
Pham Quang Nghi informed Cardinal Fernando Filoni to Cardinal Nguyen Van Nhon of the achievements of the city in the areas of socio-economic development, diplomacy, foreign relation and the results in the implementation of the State religion policy in recent years.
