Protection operator system for oversea Vietnamese launched

Oversea Vietnamese and their legal entities abroad can now directly contact the hotline (+84 4 62 844 844) to provide information, reflect the requirement or request help.

The establishment of operational system shows the determination and efforts of the Government of Vietnam in general and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in particular  in improving the effectiveness of the protection for oversea Vietnamese.

24/24 switchboard operations meet on 1,500 calls a day and can expand in a short time when call traffic increased.

Speaking at the launching on February 2, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh assessed that it is an important event in the citizen protection, in the context of the country that is increasingly integrated with international integration.

Vietnam now has nearly 5 million expatriates, including more than 500,000 foreign workers, more than 100,000 students, over 200,000 women in Vietnam to marry a foreigner.

The operator will help Vietnamese citizens to rapidly communicate in the era of information technology, but also require a team of telesales, direct staff to do the protection of citizens, oversea Vietnamese mastering the problem related to visa laws of the host country.

The operator system by the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in collaboration with Viettel Mobile construction, management and operation.
