State President Truong Tan Sang met with Chairman of the Communist Party of the Czech Republic and Moravia Vojtech Filip in Prague on May 12, saying the warm relations between the two peoples have moved bilateral cooperation forward over the past 65 years.
The guest stated confidently that on the back of sound policy and unity, the Communist Party of the Czech Republic and Moravia will play an increasingly important role in Czech politics.
He hailed Filip, who is also Vice President of the Czech Chamber of Deputies, for his part in boosting coordination between the two legislatures, which he said will be an impetus for the development of Vietnam-Czech Republic ties across various fields.
Filip congratulated the Party, State and people of Vietnam on their successes in the economic reform cause and believed that the two countries would see their comprehensive links strengthen.
