Vietnam Minister of Defence General Phung Quang Thanh held a welcoming reception on February 25 for a Malaysian delegation on a two-day working visit led by Defence Minister Dato’ Seri Hishammuddin Tun Husein.
The Malaysian Minister of Defence in turn echoed Minister Thanh’s sentiments saying he was confident the visit would further enhance the ties of friendship between the two nations in the time ahead.
Both ministers positively assessed the cooperative results of bilateral defence ties over the past few years, since the signing of a 2008 defence cooperation agreement and affirmed they would continue to advance relations.
