There has been a growing number of Indonesian investors coming to Vietnam, especially in the field of digital economy.
Hanoi is estimated to record an economic expansion of 4% in 2020, significantly higher than the national average of 2.5 – 3%.
Hanoi leaders set a goal of bringing the first metro line into operation soon with a view to reducing traffic pressure in the city center.
During the 2016 – 2020 period, Hanoi’s GRDP is estimated to have expanded by an average of 7.39%, resulting in income per capita of US$5,420 in 2020, 1.8 times the national average.
Hanoi’s major political event gathers the participation of 497 delegates representing over 45,000 Party members of the municipal Party Committee.
With rapid urbanization and growing population, Hanoi is under pressure to address social issues, especially those related to environment and traffic, said the Hanoi Party chief.
At present, Hanoi gives utmost priority to containing the Covid-19 pandemic while continuing strong efforts in improving the business environment and addressing businesses’ concerns.
Hanoi’s economic growth in the eight-month period was estimated at 3.49%, 1.92 times the national average.
One of Hanoi’s priorities is to improve efficiency in master planning to ensure the city’s rapid and sustainable development, said Hanoi’s Party chief.
