The 3rd international piano competition to kick off in Hanoi on September 4

The organising board said at the press conference in Hanoi on August 31, the 3rd Hanoi International Piano Competition will be held from September 4-11 at the Vietnam National Academy of Music.

The event will attract 55 contestants from nine countries and territories including Vietnam, China, Taiwan (China), Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Ukraine, Japan and the Republic of Korea (RoK). Many of them have received numerous international prizes.

Young Vietnamese piano talents will have a chance to compete at the 3rd Hanoi International Piano Competition.
The jury members include seven renowned pianists from Austria, Finland, France, Japan, the RoK, the US and Vietnam.
The biennial competition is categorised for pianists aged 10-13, 14-17 and 18-25. Each competitor will deliver performances in two individual rounds before playing a concerto with the orchestra in the final round.
Apart from official awards worth 200 million VND (9,150 USD), a score of auxiliary prizes will be awarded to top performing artists.
