To gether welcome more peaceful Christmas seasons

On the occasion of Christmas 2015, on December 23, Mr. Pham Quang Nghi, Politburo Member, Hanoi City Steering Party Committee visited and presented gifts for Hanoi Archbishop`s Palace.

Pham Quang Nghi had a cordial conversation with Archbishop Peter Nguyen Van Nhon. He shared that long times ago Christmas holidays were not just Catholics' holiday but also the common good day of the city's residents, this is also a chance for people to look back over a year that has passed.

Mr. Nghi announced political, socio-economic situation of the Capital and the country in 2015, that has achieved encouraging results. Despite the many difficulties in the context of a complex world, but Vietnam in general and Hanoi in particular still succeed perfectly in the fields of economy, politics, defense - security, material life and spirit of the people is increasingly improved. 

Pham Quang Nghi confirmed that in general the results have a positive contribution of the Catholic dignitaries and parishioners. Especially, with the great contribution of Archbishop Peter Nguyen Van Nhon, who has encouraged the laity to participate actively in various fields. For its part, the city leaders are always interested in legitimate request of the parish, the parishioners.

On the occasion of the solemnity of the Catholic minority, Mr. Pham Quang Nghi best wishes to Archbishop, Bishops, priests, religious and lay people; wishing Hanoi Metropolitan Cathedral a peaceful and happy Christmas.

Expressing his feelings, Archbishop Peter Nguyen Van Nhon said that they always aware to be the citizens of the Capital, the country of Vietnam, it will continue its efforts, together with the parishioners to contribute to the Capital for more peace and development.
