They included 216 domestic firms, 171 joint ventures, and 63 foreign groups and companies from 16 countries including; the Republic of Korea (RoK), Japan, the UK, Malaysia, Thailand, Germany, Singapore, the US, Indonesia, France and China.

Vietbuild 2016 has 1,350 booths displaying products and materials used in the fields of construction, real estate, architecture, interior and exterior decoration and solar energy systems. Participants have brought their latest products and services, including green solutions and energy-saving technologies and offered numerous discount programmes to lure customers.

Deputy Minister of Construction Le Quang Hung said Vietbuild has contributed significantly to promoting trade, investment and technology exchanges in the construction sector. Nguyen Tran Nam, Chairman of the Vietnam Real Estate Association, said Vietbuild helps connect international and local construction enterprises with consumers, thus contributing to the sustainable development of the sector.

A number of workshops and seminars will be organised on the sidelines of the exhibition, focusing on new products and technology in the field. The realty market in Vietnam witnessed strong foreign capital inflows in both direct and indirect investments from the beginning of this year when the market was recovering after years of being in limbo. Statistics from the Ministry of Planning and Investment showed that foreign investors have poured a total of 2 billion USD in FDI into the real estate sector in the country so far this year.
