Vietnam Golden Kite award 2017 belong to Saigon, I Love You

Zippo, Mustard and You, Saigon, I Love You… the film won the Golden Kite in the categories of best documentary, television and film in Vietnam Golden Kite award 2017.

Vietnam Golden Kite award 2017 belong to Saigon, I Love You of director Ly Minh Thang. Saigon, I Love You was voted the best feature film by the Vietnam Cinematography Association. The award was presented last night at HCMC Military Theatre. 
The 90 minutes comedy features five couples from different places and backgrounds who choose Saigon - HCMC as their home and tells the stories of their loves and lives. The culture and lifestyle of the Saigonese are highlighted throughout the film. The film also won prizes for best screenplay and best cinematography.

The Silver Kite awards were presented to the 2 movie, include 12 constellations: Drawing Lines for Love Runs by Vu Ngoc Phuong and Tik Tak, Tam Cam—The Untold Story by Director Ngo Thanh Van.
Best Director in a motion picture in terms of Vu Ngoc Phuong. Director Vu Ngoc Phuong, a graduate of screenwriting at The London Film School in the UK, is known for such films as Wing and What If, and music videos for famous singers like Sơn Tung M-TP and Truc Nhan. The 31-year-old director also participated in writing screenplays for movies for young people, like Dandelion and The Lost Dragon.
Actress Vu Phuong Anh (Jun Vu) - who plays the role of My in 12 constellations: Drawing Lines for Love Runs won Best Actress. While her colleague Ha Hien bagged Best Actor for his role in Shoot.

Best supporting actor in movie belong to Huynh Lap for his role of My My in Saigon, I Love You. While, his colleague Quynh Chi won Best supporting Actress for her role of Chi Chi in 12 constellations: Drawing Lines for Love Runs. Best Music Film category belong to musician Duc Tri of Tam Cam—The Untold Story and 12 constellations: Drawing Lines for Love Runs.
The Golden Kite award for best TV series was presented to Vietnam Television Film Centre’s Zippo, Mustard and You, featuring love and friendship of young and successful people. Its directors, Meritorious Artist Trọng Trinh and Tiến Huy, received best director awards.

The award for best documentary film went to A Preventive Measure of Coastal Erosion by director Phung Ngoc Tu. The 2016 Golden Kite award honoured veteran directors Nguyễn Khắc Lợi and Trần Phương for their contributions to the industry.
This year’s competition received 145 entries, including 19 feature films, 21 TV series, 13 cartoons, 57 documentary films, 15 scientific films and 20 short films.
