Vietnam ICS exhibition 2015 connects supporting industry businesses

Industrial Component and Subcontracting Vietnam (ICS) exhibition 2015 makes an opportunity for domestic support industry businesses to access advanced manufacturing techniques, while seeking new markets, business partnerships and investment opportunities from foreign countries.

That was confirmed by Hanoi Deputy Chairman of People's Committee Tran Xuan Viet at the opening ceremony of the exhibition held at the Hanoi International Exhibition Centre on September 10.
Hanoi's support industry has developed strongly in recent years, with the participation of over 1,000 companies, including FDI enterprises, the central businesses, local and private enterprises.
The large number of municipal enterprises which join in production for support industry confirmed the city's strength in the production and supply of key products .
Hanoi's businesses at present have been suppliers of materials and components for production including automotive parts, motorcycles, electrical materials, packaging, mechanical parts for cement, mining and thermal.
According to Soichi Yoshimura, Deputy Chairman of the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO), there are about 1,500 Japanese enterprises in Vietnam, half of which are currently operating in the manufacturing sector and only 33% of local companies were able to be  suppliers for Japanese firms last year.
With the aim to help support industry businesses, Hanoi Tourism Trade Investment promoting center and Thailand-based Reed Tradex Co. Ltd. held the ICS 2015 at the Hanoi International Exhibition Centre on September 10.
Deputy Director of the center Nguyen Thi Mai Anh said, the ICS 2015 attracted 200 brands of parts and components manufacturing industry firms with advanced production technology from 20 countries around the world.

The exhibition creates favourable chance for Hanoi's business community to connect and seek business cooperation with FDI enterprises in the city, as well as expand their export markets to other countries.
Addressing the event, Hanoi Deputy Chairman of People's Committee Tran Xuan Viet confirmed that one of municipal important tasks is to develop the city's major industrial products and support industry, accelerating its economic restructuring.
The exhibition also opens a opportunity for Hanoi's support industry enterprises and nationwide to access to advanced technology, connecting with assembling businesses, enhancing competitiveness, attracting more investment of businesses from Japan and ASEAN countries.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Hoang Quoc Vuong said this year’s events will act as a bridge for industrial manufacturers from Vietnam, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Thailand and India to seek new markets, business partnerships and investment opportunities.
