Vietnam Northwest Cuisine Festival kicks off

The Northwest Cuisine Festival kicks off in the northern province of Lao Cai, as part of activities of the Lao Cai – Northwest National Tourism Year 2017.

The festival, visitors can enjoy the food with mountain forests flavor such as wild local grilled pig with clausena leaves, grilled dried buffalo or bamboo sticky-rice or black Trưng cake, five-colors sticky rice, together enjoy the hot Thắng Cố (Horse mixed hot pot) to quench the cold weather of Sa Pa.
In addition, the event also hosted a re-enactment of liquor making of the Tay, Day, Xa Pho, H’Mong and Red Dao ethnic groups and traditional weddings of the Red Dao people in Sa Pa, along with other cultural activities.
In the morning of the opening ceremony, visitors also enjoy the program of ethnic traditional music performance, recite the wedding ceremony of the Red Dao and especially you will be watching the performance of martial arts of Fansipan spirit with the performance of more than 20 masters at the main stage of the festival.
For the first time a unique North West cultural space is re-enacted with live gourmet culinary delicacies delicious in the aroma of wine cookers are cooked in place with the dancers, dances, repertoire Wedding ceremony of the Red Dao Sa Pa.
Continuing the chain of North West cultural events such as Festival of Khen- flowers, azaleas Festival, the events are not only special cultural activities, attracting large tourists to Sa Pa, Lao Cai. It is also the act of realizing the desire of the Sun Group to promote its ethnic cultural identity, protect the ecological environment, transform its cultural heritage into assets, create tourism products for Sapa and cultural experiences for domestic and international visitors.
The cuisine festival runs until July 16 at the Sun World Fansipan Legend in Sa Pa.
