Vietnam to host 18th General Assembly of Confederation of ASEAN Journalists
The Vietnam Journalists Association (VJA) said on November 25, the 18th General Assembly of the Confederation of ASEAN Journalists (CAJ) will be held in Vietnam on November 27.
The Vietnam Journalists Association will organise a ceremony on November 27 to mark the 40th anniversary of the Confederation of ASEAN Journalists.
The year 2015 plays a significant meaning in the history of development of the ASEAN and CAJ given the establishment of the ASEAN Community at the end of this year.
The VJA will launch a photo contest highlighting the active engagement of ASEAN journalists in raising public awareness of climate change.
Established in 1975, the CAJ is comprised of journalist associations of Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Laos. The VJA joined the confederation in 1995, the same year when Vietnam became an ASEAN member.
