Vietnamese Government encourages improving business environment

PM Nguyen Tan Dung made the statement at his conference with businesses in Hanoi on April 28 that the Vietnamese Government will facilitate the business community to improve productivity, quality and competitiveness.

The Government leader praised businesses’ efforts and contributions to the country’s socio-economic development but also pointed out their difficulties, shortcomings and limitations, such as weak competitiveness, limited governance capacity and unimproved business environment.

To achieve this goal, it is imperative to ensure socio-political stability and macroeconomic stability, thus helping the business community feel secure about production and business operations, Dung added.
The Government has paid due attention to completing the market economy regulations, setting up mechanisms and policies and implement administrative reforms for these businesses to develop, stressed the PM.
The PM instructed the banking sector to help enterprises get access to credits. He asked the Governor of the State Bank of Viet Nam to develop the capital market and create a close connection between banks and businesses.
The leader required these enterprises to raise their competitiveness, increase labor productivity, apply technology into production and enhance business management competence. The PM stresed that ministries, agencies and localities work with the business community to further improve the investment and business environment.
