Chocavi safe seafood chain debuts in Hanoi

Chocavi, providing many incentives and utilities, aims to meet a variety of consumer needs for Hanoi’s people.

A safe seafood chain under the brand name Chocavi (Vietnamese Fish Market) was officially opened at the Hanoi’s southern wholesale market, Hoang Mai District, on April 29.

Chocavi is a brand association between Xuyen Viet Seafood Trade and Production Cooperative and 10 cooperatives and five businesses across the country.

Chocavi offers more than 50 types of seafood with clear traceability. It is expected that in 2022, Chocavi will continue to cooperate with 10 to 20 other businesses and cooperatives across the country, including Hanoi, to diversify and ensure supply for consumers.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Xuyen Viet Seafood Trade and Production Cooperative Le Van Viet said that the linkage model between his business and 15 other enterprises and cooperatives aims to find output for safe aquatic products.

“The unit will strictly manage and monitor the linking process as well as the safety and quality factors to bring people the freshest and safest products," he added.

Attending the event, Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Ta Van Tuong expected the model would create a foundation for the city to build and replicate other secure linkages, not only in the fisheries sector, but also in other livestock and farming industries.

In the coming time, the city will continue to promote linkages from production to consumption of agricultural products and safe food, with the extensive participation of many economic sectors, especially businesses and cooperatives.

“The development of linkage chains will be a solution for Hanoi to better manage food safety issues in the city,” he said.
