Hanoi will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - 2024) with fireworks at 31 locations across the city.

The pyrotechnic shows aim not only to inspire visitors with an upbeat and lively atmosphere but also to arouse citizens' pride in Hanoi and the capital's significant historical events.

As planned, Hanoi will hold 31 fireworks shows simultaneously at 30 locations across the city within 15 minutes starting from 21:30 on October 9, 2024.

The Hanoi Municipal People's Committee assigned the Hanoi Capital Command to manage the event, coordinate with relevant units and localities to implement the fireworks plans, ensure traffic at the fireworks sites, and provide absolute safety for people before and after the event.

The liberation of the capital, Hanoi, on October 10, 1954, marked an important turning point, opening a new glorious period in the history of Thang Long - Dong Do - Hanoi. The capital was completely free from the yoke of colonialism. Since that day, the Vietnamese workers have enjoyed true freedom and become real masters of their lives, starting to build a new society that opened the era of socialist revolution in Vietnam.
