The colorful online festival is expected to bring joy to young children on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

The festival that features a variety of art performances will be broadcast live on the Facebook pages of the Central Youth Union, the Central Junior Youth Council, Hanoi Junior Youth Council, and Hanoi Children’s Palace at 8pm on September 20.

The “Lantern lights up dreams” program is an initiative of the Youth Union and the Hanoi Junior Youth Council with the participation of seven points from provinces and cities nationwide including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Binh Duong, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, among others.

The art performance draws the participation of various renowned Vietnamese artists who will entertain children with songs, dances, and comedies-themed Mid-Autumn Festival.

In addition, the child stars who have won many national music competitions for children will also perform some special pieces of music and dance such as: “the Lion Dance”, “Mid-Autumn Medley”, “Lantern Procession Medley”, “Ms.Moon and Mr.Cuoi Dance”, among others.

In order to help young audiences to take part in the online festival, the organizers will create some interesting quizzes and mini-games. The audience who submits the correct answers on the Facebook pages of the festival in the shortest time will be given valuable rewards.

All children regardless of nationality who live in Vietnam are encouraged to send photos with interesting introductions of themselves to the Organizing Committee. The five most outstanding “Ms. Moon” and “Mr. Cuoi” will also be honored at the festival that takes place on September 20 evening.

On the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, 1,320 disadvantaged children in Hanoi also received gifts with a total value of VND264 million (US$11,550,000) presented by the Hanoi Youth Union.

In addition, during the “Mid-Autumn Week” which runs from September 13 to 21, the Youth Unions and Junior Youth Councils in 30 districts and towns around Hanoi have also simultaneously organized practical and meaningful activities for children while still complying with Covid-19 pandemic control and prevention measures.
