Local businesses operating in manufacturing and distribution will be supported to meet standards, requirements and tastes of the city’s consumers.

These activities are part of the latest plan for 2022 approved by the Hanoi People’s Committee to support enterprises, cooperatives, and farming households in Hanoi and other provinces and cities in keeping updated on market supply and demand and subsequently rolling out their business activities.

It aims to contribute to stabilizing output, balancing the supply and the demand, limiting losses for farmers, and adapting to changes in the market.

In addition, the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade in coordination with its provincial peers  will organize offline and onlie trade activities at small scale.

In addition, the city will support provinces and cities to hold 15 to 20 promotion event weeks for fruit and agricultural products when the disease is under control, as well as find convenient locations to organize retail points of products fromprovinces and cities in Hanoi.

The city also requires retailers, supermarkets, food chains, manufacturers and exporters in Hanoi to actively participate in the promotion and connection programs in compliance with regulations and guidelines on Covid-19 prevention and control.

According to Director of the municipal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Chu Phu My, based on supply and demand, the department will strengthen coordination with its peers from 21 northern provinces and cities to ensure supply of vegetables, meat and safe food for the capital’s people.

The department will continue closely working with 1,130 suppliers in 22 provinces and cities in the North and 23 provinces and cities in the Central and Southern regions on this issue.

Among these, there are 453 establishments supplying safe vegetables and fruits with an output of more than 92,000 tons per month, ninety providing cattle and poultry meat with an output of more than 13,000 tons and 28 others with a productivity  of more than 31.3 million eggs monthly.
