Intel helps promote AI literacy in Vietnam

THE HANOI TIMES — Intel and the National Innovation Center (NIC) under the Ministry of Finance have launched the “AI for All” program to expand artificial intelligence (Al) knowledge and awareness across Vietnam.

"AI for All" is a self-paced program available in both English and Vietnamese covering basic AI concepts, real-world applications, ethics, and the responsible use of AI. It is designed to help individuals build future-ready skills while fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

According to Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, the program is essential to meet the urgent demand for AI learning, knowledge dissemination, and skills development, as AI education is critical in today's rapidly evolving digital landscape.

“This program directly addresses the growing need for AI applications across government agencies, socio-political organizations, businesses, and the public,” she said.

The program aligns with Vietnam's national digital transformation strategy and Politburo's Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW issued on December 22, 2024, which prioritizes science, technology, and innovation. It also supports the country's newly launched Binh Dan Hoc Vu So (Digital Literacy for All) movement. This platform, available at https://binhdanhocvuso.gov.vn, provides basic technology knowledge, online courses on digital literacy, and step-by-step instructions on how to use computers, smart devices, social media, and online public services.

It also educates users about Internet access, cybersecurity, and fraud prevention, equipping individuals with the skills they need to navigate the digital age safely and efficiently.

Sarah Kemp, Vice President, International Government Affairs at  Intel Corporation, highlighted the program’s importance in preparing Vietnam’s workforce for the evolving job market. She reaffirmed Intel’s commitment to supporting Vietnam’s digital economy and ensuring AI literacy reaches all sectors of society.
