Miss SAKE Vietnam 2023 kicks off

The purpose of the event is to celebrate the full beauty of Vietnamese women, select an inspiring face to represent SAKE Japan, and strengthen ties between Vietnam and Japan.

The event is aimed to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Vietnam.

This is the first time that Miss SAKE will be held in Vietnam for all single women between the ages of 18 and 40.

Miss SAKE Vietnam 2023 will be a beauty ambassador who will contribute to further cementing friendship, promoting cultural exchanges and trade relations between Vietnam and Japan while honoring the values of women.

The event will also attract local specialists in fashion, makeup and runway training, and the general public.

The pre-qualification round is expected to be held in April and May 2023, including online selection.

The selected candidates will perform ao dai or Vietnamese long dress and evening gowns at the art program celebrating 50 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan, which will be held on May 20 at AEON Mall in Long Bien District. The program will be open to the public.

The grand finale is scheduled for May 28 and will feature talent showcases, performances in traditional Japanese kimonos, and presentations of the finalists.

Miss SAKE Vietnam 2023 will travel to Japan in June 2023 to participate in Miss SAKE International.

Each year, the Miss SAKE competition seeks representatives who will be responsible for representing and promoting Japanese history and culture through sake. The event is currently in its tenth year in Japan and other countries.
