Responding to the Action Month for Children

The Hanoi Youth Union has just released the Plan No. 234KH/TDTN-CTTN on organizing summer activities for children as well as responding to the Action Month for Children in 2017 in the area.

 


 
Accordingly, along with strengthening communication and education to improve people’s awareness on child protection, care and education, the Hanoi Youth Union will organize a series of activities  to implement protection, care and education of children; enhance popularization on Child Law to authorities at all levels, people so as to improve their responsibilities for child protection and care;  give assistance to children in difficult circumstances, disabled children in the area.

Meanwhile, Councils of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Organization in districts and towns will carry out “Weekend playground” models for children, teenagers; organize training courses on preventing injuries, traffic accidents, child abuse and drowning; open free swimming courses to enrich knowledge and skills to treat drowning cases for children; give instruction to children not to use toxic toys, violent and counter-cultural games.

In addition, Hanoi Youth Union will focus on timely detecting and preventing activities of child abuse, violence, etc; cooperating with the education and training sector, youth volunteers of universities, colleges to review lessons, disseminate knowledge and encourage children who drop out to come back schools; implementing the building of playgrounds for children in suburban districts; raising funds and presenting scholarships to children in difficult circumstances; continuing the program on raising funds for building vegetable gardens for children in the Northern mountainous provinces; organizing the Festival for Children in association with opening summer vacation for children and responding to the Action Month for Children 2017; holding forums, seminars and talk shows for children to express their opinions.

Along with organizing entertainment activities, Hanoi Youth Union will improve the quality of activities, movements in residential areas and to draw special attention from Party Committees, authorities at all levels to caring, building a safe and healthy living environment for children.
