Supporting enterprises through the connection of supply – demand between Hanoi and other provinces

The event of connecting supply – demand between Hanoi and other provinces/ cities has increased goods consumption, however, in order to form the linkage from production to distribution, it is necessary to have the active participation of enterprises and provinces.

These are opinions of representatives taking part in the event of connecting supply – demand between Hanoi and other provinces, which is jointly held by Hanoi Industry & Trade Department and Hanoi Promotion Agency (HPA).

Recently, the industry sector in Hanoi along with organizations and enterprises community have jointly organized trade connection and promotion events with other provinces, in turn supports 20 provinces / cities to consume goods in Hanoi’s market. In particular, HPA and Hanoi’s retailers have supported enterprises in designing labels, packaging and product’s quality to be included in the modern distribution channel, which is aimed to build and develop safe food chain.

Despite the connection activity has helped enterprises to be in control of the quantity production and the consumption market especially for seasonal products. However, there remains difficulties in the process of taking these products into the modern distribution channel. Director of Dong Thap Industry & Trade Department Nguyen Huu Dung said, in previous time, the cooperation between Hanoi’s enterprises and other provinces are inefficient, especially for seasonal products, which is in need of consumption in short time.

Director of Truong Dinh Fivimart  -  Sy Danh Phuc said, provinces have few large scale enterprises to be in charge of distributing goods, which cause Hanoi enterprises difficulties in purchasing goods in large quantity. Sharing the same view, Hanoi retailers said, agricultural products in other provinces do not meet the procedures requirements on quality control, payment procedures, packaging, as well as storage ad transportation. The linkage and connection between manufacturers and distributors are inefficient, so that retailers cannot purchase goods when demand is rising.

In order for these connection events to be more efficient in the context of integration and fierce competition wit imported goods, Vice Director of Ha Giang Industry & Trade – Mr. Mai Van Suong recommended the Ministry of Industry & Trade to establish an online platform for which the local enterprises can search and connect with distribution channels. Besides, provinces have to actively setting up and implementing production, providing safe products with high quality, so that the products meet the requirements of Hanoi’s market.

Meanwhile, retailers and distributors request the administrative agencies to support enterprises, in turn timely deal with difficulties and obstacles; review and finalize supporting policies for enterprises in terms of providing information, promoting trade, brand building and pushing forward with production of Vietnamese goods. Besides, Hanoi also needs to improve trade infrastructure development to ensure sustainable distribution channels, which create favorable conditions for goods from provinces to access distribution channels in Hanoi. This activity is not only the cooperation between manufacturers and retailers, but also a way for customers to raise awareness and protect Vietnamese goods against the pressure from imported goods, fake and smuggled products.

“Enterprises and the Industry sector in Nghe An province hope Hanoi enterprises and in othe provinces to create conditions for goods in Nghe An to join the distribution channels to increase consumption, which contributes to the growth and economic development of Nghe An. As such, it is the way to efficiently implement the promotional campaign “Vietnamese gives priority to Vietnamese goods” – Vice Director of Nghe An Industry & Trade Department Hoang Van Tam.
