Ten exemplary young families honored for strength, love and community contribution

The “Happy Young Families Day” in Hanoi celebrated the 20th anniversary of Vietnamese Family Day, honoring young families who exemplify love, resilience and shared responsibility as the foundation of happiness and social progress in modern Vietnam.

THE HANOI TIMES Ten exemplary young families of 2025 have received recognition for overcoming challenges to build happy, progressive homes and for their active contributions to the community.

The recognition was part of “Happy Young Families Day,” held on October 12 under the theme “Together, We Are Home – Writing the Journey of Love.” In its sixth edition, the event celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Vietnam Family Day and honored the essential role of young families in society.

The 10 honored families were selected from 44 nominations across the country. Evaluation was conducted from May to early October of 2025.

They include workers, civil servants, members of the armed forces, TV hosts, athletes, young entrepreneurs and farmers.

All of them actively participate in social and community activities and strive to build prosperous, harmonious and happy families. They also work productively, raise their children with care and set good examples in daily life.

Among them, television host couple Le Manh Cuong and Do Huong Giang balance busy media careers with nurturing their social media project “Gia dinh Truyen hinh” (TV Family), a warm digital space promoting love and family values. They also collaborate on popular TV shows such as Cap La Yeu Thuong, Viec Tu Te, Cap La Yeu Thuong and Viet Nam Vui Khoe.

In the remote mountains of Lao Cai, Lam A Ha and Vang Thi Thong find happiness through perseverance and teamwork, showing that true joy comes from unity and resilience.

Doctor Do Doan Bach and his wife Mai Thanh Huyen shared that their family gives him emotional strength to pursue medical research and community service. “My wife and children are my greatest motivation,” Bach said.

National footballer Que Ngoc Hai and his wife Duong Thi Thuy Phuong also appeared among the ten exemplary young families this year.

Speaking at the event, Nguyen Kim Quy, Vice Chairman of Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation, said that the honored families are role models in maintaining harmony and promoting social values.

He added the federation will continue to support youth and young families through pre-marriage education, parenting workshops and career development programs.

The “Happy Young Families Day” featured lively activities for families to connect, play and share experiences in Hanoi’s Hoan Kiem pedestrian zone, including family games under the theme “Journey of Love”, mini quizzes to build mutual understanding, photo booths and activity stalls for all ages.

The “Happy Young Families” initiative is part of Youth Fest 2025 – Proud Vietnamese Youth, held from October 10 to October 12 to mark the 69th anniversary of the Vietnam Youth Federation and the 20th anniversary of the Vietnam Family Day.

The campaign is a joint effort between the Vietnam Youth Federation and Phu Nhuan Jewellery JSC (PNJ) under the “Building Happy Young Families” program (2021–2025), aiming to emphasize the family’s vital role in individual happiness and social well-being.

The 10 Exemplary Young Families of 2025 include:

• The family of TV host Le Manh Cuong and Do Huong Giang (Hanoi)

• The family of football player Que Ngoc Hai and Duong Thi Thuy Phuong (Nghe An Province)

• The family of doctor Do Doan Bach, a cardiologist at Bach Mai Hospital, and fashion designer Mai Thanh Huyen (Hanoi)

• The family of Doan Ngoc Bao, a para-athlete, and Nguyen Thi Le Thu (Hanoi)

• The family of Lam A Ha and Vang Thi Thong (Lao Cai Province)

• The family of Nguyen Hai Dang and Ha Kieu Anh (Hanoi)

• The family of Nguyen Thanh Hai and Ngo Thi Huynh Nhu (Long An Province)

• The family of Hoang Dong Dong and Nguyen Lan Huong, officers at Z129 Factory under the General Department of Defense Industry (Tuyen Quang Province)

• The family of Nguyen Ngoc Bao and Tran Thi Kim Linh (Lam Dong Province)

• The family of Thach Ra Da, a student at the People’s Police Academy, and Thach Thi Diem Kieu (Vinh Long Province)
