Winners of 11th International Artistic Photo Contest announced

The international photo contest in Vietnam attracted thousand outstanding works created by photographers from 45 countries around the world.

An award ceremony and the opening of the 11th International Artistic Photography Competition (VN-21) exhibition was held in Hanoi on June 7.

State President of Vietnam Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended and presented prizes to excellent authors who are the contest prize winners.

Among 96 prestigious awards of VN-21, the FIAP Blue Badge - the highest prize of the contest- was awarded to photographer Im Kai Leong from Macao - China.

In addition to the ongoing exhibition at the headquarter of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in Hanoi, an online exhibition of the entries of VN-21 contest is now available at http://www.contestvn .com/data/docs/vn21_catalog.pdf.

The 11th International Artistic Photo Contest in Vietnam is held by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (VAPA), under the sponsorship of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP), the Image Sans Frontiere (ISF) and Photographic Society of America (PSA).

The contest was launched on March 32, 2021 and the deadline for photo submission was on July 31, 2021.

A total of 16,458 artworks by 1,260 authors were sent to the contest, which featured four categories of “Color Free Theme”, “Monochrome Free-Theme”, “Travel Photography” (in both color and monochrome) and “Portrait Photography” (in both color and monochrome).

Below are the awarded photographs of the VN-21 contest:

The artwork entitled “Under the Black Sun C8” by Dmitry Polkanov from Russia won the VAPA Gold Medal, in the color free theme category.

The photo entitled “Two Friend Peeping” by Abhishek Basak from India won the FIAP Gold Medal, in the color free theme category.

The photo called “Don't fear the reaper” by Dean Irvine from United Kingdom won the PSA Gold Medal, in the color free theme category.

“New Year Fire Dragon” by Im Kai Leong (Macao, China) won ISF Gold Medal, Travel category. 
“The Spring on the Mountain” Pham Pa Ri from Vietnam won FIAP Silver Medal, Travel category.   

“The Color of Inle Lake” by Nguyen Huu Thong won ISF Bronze Medal, Travel category.   

“Strange Encounter 2” by Kai Lon Tang (Macao, China) won VAPA Gold Medal, Free-themed in monochrome free theme category.

“Irida Stretch” by Cyril Boyd (United Kingdom) won PSA Gold Medal, Free-themed in monochrome category.

Mom mem” (Toothless) by Ha Binh (Vietnam) won FIAP Bronze Medal, Portrait category.
