Vietnam, South Korea to promote development of high-tech fields

The new TMA Innovation Park is expected to become an innovation and technology center of Vietnam.

The Vietnam - Korea Businessmen & Investment Association (VKBIA), VKBIA Group JSC, and TMA Solutions on December 3 signed a Memorandum of Understanding on “coordinating promotion, attracting investment and business cooperation” with specific terms, including the launching of the Vietnam - Korea Training and Technology Transfer Center.

Located in TMA Binh Dinh Innovation Park, Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province, the center employs over 200 engineers specializing in software and digital transformation, application and economy.

Within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding, the VKBIA and the TMA will continue to work to deploy new technologies and high-tech transformation projects, form research and development (R&D) centers for specific fields, and cooperate in the training of highly qualified human resources to operate new techniques and high-tech projects for the next stage, adapting them to modern production chains and global supply chains.

For high quality human resource training and education, VKBIA, VKBIA Group JSC and TMA Solutions together with Quy Nhon University (Binh Dinh) will carry out a highly skilled worker training program for skilled and knowledgeable workforce both in culture as in language. The move is to provide high-quality human resources for foreign invested manufacturing and support companies.

Currently, the TMA Binh Dinh Innovation Park has been home to dozens of high-tech projects for six countries, including the US, Australia, France, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore. Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee, hoped that the cooperation between VKBIA and TMA Solutions will yield practical results and contribute to the socio-economic development of Binh Dinh province in the future.

The TMA Innovation Park is expected to become and innovation and technology center of Vietnam for developing and transferring high technology, using the human and intellectual resources of Binh Dinh and Central Vietnam. “I also hope this will be a big boost to the province’s economy and support us in the process of international integration,” Mr. Dung said.
