The trade show is part of a series of tourism activities under the 2023 plan of the Southeast Asian country to boost the inbound segment.
The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism reported that the Vietnamese delegation would set up a 450 m2 pavilion under the theme "Reconnection," where participating travel agencies and tourism companies will showcase their products and reconnect with partners and tourists.
Through the activities, they want to convey a message: Vietnam is ready to welcome tourists again with many attractive products and services in line with market trends in the new context.
The Vietnamese delegation, consisting of 45 Vietnamese enterprises, will hold a press conference to provide information on Vietnam's tourism development, policies, products, and services after Covid-19. It will also share market orientation and products suitable for the new situation and promote Vietnam's tourism image and message through the logo and title "Vietnam - Timeless Charm" and the media campaign "Living Fully in Vietnam."
This year, Vietnam's tourism sector has set a target of receiving 8 million international tourists, an increase of 45.7% over 2022. In the first two months of 2023, the number of international visitors to Vietnam is estimated at more than 1.8 million, almost a quarter of the target for the whole year.
