The Beach-Leisure & MICE Travel Mart (BMTM Da Nang 2016) will be organised from June 24 - 26 in the the central coastal city of Da Nang, the municipal People’s Committee announced at the recent press conference.
The Beach-Leisure & MICE Travel Mart (BMTM Da Nang 2016), an international trade-tourism fair, is expected to attract about 7,000 visitors.
The BMTM Da Nang 2016 is scheduled to include 172 booths featuring tourism and service products.
The fair will make an opportunity for travel and tourism agencies across region to introduce their beach-leisure and MICE (Meetings, the Incentives, Conventions, Exhibitions) tourism products.
On the occasion of the BMTM Da Nang 2016, Vietjet Air has offered 3,000 tickets from zero Vietnam dong (excluding tax and other fees).
The low-cost airline has also co-ordinated with other travel companies to provide discounts for tours from Da Nang to HCM City, Hanoi, Hai Phong and Can Tho.
Beside Vietjet Air, several airlines and travel companies have held tourism stimulus programs to attract international and domestic tourists to Da Nang city.
Vietnam Airlines plans to present a discount code of 20% to 200 first passengers taking part in the fair on the route between Da Nang and Hanoi, HCM City, Buon Ma Thuot, Pleiku, Da Lat and Nha Trang. Meanwhile, Jetstar Airline has also offered a discount on air tickets from just 99,000 VND during the BMTM Da Nang 2016.
International Da Nang Sun Peninsula Resort has also launched tourism programs with a discount of 20% while Asia Park under Sun Group has also organised a program named Happy Tuesday with a discount of 25% from now to December 31.
Da Nang city owns many famous destinations such as Ngu Hanh Son (Marble Mountain), Linh Ung Pagoda, and various beautiful beaches. The locality is close to world heritage sites such as Hoi An ancient town, My Son Sanctuary and Cham Island in Quang Nam province, the Phong Nha-Ke Bang Cave systems in Quang Binh, and the Hue monuments complex.
The entire city has 492 accommodation facilities with 18,233 rooms and 218 travel agencies.
The city at present hosts 24 direct international flights and 14 chartered flights a day.
In 2015, the locality received 4.68 million tourists, ranking it in fourth place in terms of the number of tourists, after Hanoi, HCM City and Quang Ninh.
