April 17: Vietnam reports no new coronavirus cases, 22 convalescents

Despite no new cases detected in the day, local authorities uphold vigilance on the pandemic.

Vietnam reported no new coronavirus cases on Friday, keeping the tally unchanged at 268.

Meanwhile, as many as 22 Covid-19 patients fully recovered in the day, totaling 198 as of April 17.

So far, the country has reported no deaths of the new coronavirus.

Currently 70 active cases are under treatment at 12 medical stations nationwide, including hospitals at central, provincial and district levels, and field hospitals.

More than 69,000 people coming from pandemic-hit areas and having made close contact with Covid-19 patients are under quarantine, including 324 at hospitals, 11,549 at concentrated facilities, and more than 57,000 at lodging stations and at home.

As of April 17, a total of 206,253 coronavirus tests have been taken.
