Director Jordan Vogt-Roberts told the Channel NewsAsia that he expects that the film will encourage more people to visit Vietnam, and hopes they go and explore Vietnam, fall in love with the landscapes, the people, the culture and the food.

The prestigious American magazine Forbes recently published an article about 21 of suitable destinations for low-cost travelers in 2017. Northern Vietnam led the top in Forbes among the cheapest destinations in 2017.

Hanoi’s tourist attractions such as Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature), Ngoc Son Temple, Hoa Lo Prison historical relic site, Dong Da festival and Huong Pagoda Festival 2017 drew thousands of people nationwide during the Lunar New Year running from January 26 to February 2.

On special occasions like ancestors’ death anniversaries or the Lunar New Year, special rites are performed to communicate with the dead.The rites consist of making offerings of fruits, lighting the candles; and burning incense before praying in front of the altar.

Tet is Vietnamese New Year and is the biggest festival and public holiday in Vietnam. Officially, the festival includes the 1st, 2nd and 3rd day in Lunar Calendar.

The Lunar New Year (Tet) festival is the most important and greatest holiday in Vietnam and there are many traditional dishes displayed on meals during the special days.

The “Vietnamese Goods Identification-Proud of Vietnamese Goods” programme, launched in September 2016, has contributed to further spreading the message of the "Vietnamese use Vietnamese products” campaign, said Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Hoang Quoc Vuong.
