Battery Dance, Saxophone artist Kenny G perform in Vietnam

Well-known saxophone artist Kenny G performs in Hanoi on the night of October 13 as one of a series of cultural activities to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the normalisation of the Vietnam-US diplomatic relations, according to the US Embassy in Vietnam.

The famous ballet dancing group Battery Dance, from New York City, will also have performance in the capital city, as said at a news conference hosted by US Ambassador to Vietnam Ted Osius.
Ambassador Ted Osius said he hoped that after Battery Dance and Kenny G, more American artists would come to Vietnam to share American culture with Vietnamese people and build mutual understanding.
At the news conference, saxophone artist Kenny G expressed his impression on the openness and friendliness of Vietnamese people. He hoped to return to the country in the future.

For Battery Dance, this is the second time they have visited Vietnam after their first trip in 1995 on the 10th anniversary of the US-Vietnam relations normalisation.
Jonathan Hollander, Founder and Director of Battery Dance, said Battery Dance is non-profit dance group.
The group has just finished its performance in Hue city and the group’s Dance to Connect encouraged youth in Hue to take part in teamwork activities and creativity via modern dancing art.
It will also perform in Hanoi as well as organise classes for teachers.
