Speaking at the event commemorating the 105th National Day of the Czech Republic, Kmoníček said such projects are evidence of the increasingly practical and effective cooperation between the two countries.
The key projects included the Skoda automobile manufacturing and assembly plant in the northern province of Quang Ninh, the opening of a flight route for tourists from the Czech Republic to Phu Quoc Island with a frequency of two times per month, and the inauguration of the Czech Cultural Center in Vietnam.
Kmoníček conveyed his delight regarding the progressively sustainable and continually evolving relationship between the two countries.
He said the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic has over 100,000 people, accounting for 1% of the population. They are making positive contributions to their second homeland.
Chairman of the Hanoi Vietnam-Czech Friendship Association, Banh Tien Long, said that, over the past 70 years, the relationship between the two countries has deepened and become comprehensive across all fields, from politics, diplomacy, economy, culture, education, science, technology to people-to-people exchanges.
Recently, Hanoi's Vietnam-Czech Friendship Association has carried out various specific activities to expand cultural exchanges and contribute to enhancing the bilateral relationship.
Within the program's framework, many images, information, and films depicting the development process, and prospects of the Vietnam-Czech cooperation relationship were introduced to the Hanoians and international friends.
