Festival promotes agricultural and OCOP products linked to Hanoi tourism

The city will strengthen trade linkage and between the city and provinces and cities across the country through holding trade promotion festivals.

A festival promoting sale of farm produce and handicrafts recognized by the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program drew the participation of more than 200 businesses and craft villages, who came from Hanoi and provinces from northern area to Tay Nguyen (Central Highlands) region to introduce their products and agricultural models associated with eco-tourism.

On display are handicrafts, farm produce, foodstuffs, OCOP products, agricultural materials and localities’ specialties. 

Of the total of 220 stalls, there were 160  from traditional craft villages  of Phu Xuyen District, 40 from businesses and craft villages from other districts, and the remaining from provinces and cities such as: Lang Son, Bac Giang, Lao Cai, Thai Nguyen, Quang Ninh, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Quang Tri, and Lam Dong.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the festival opened last week in Phu Xuyen District, Nguyen Anh Duong, Director of the Hanoi Centre for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion (HPA) said this activity aims to realize the city's Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Program in 2022, and the Plan on Developing Agriculture and Rural Tourism in association with new-style rural area development in Hanoi in the 2022-2025 period.

Promotional activities are expected to contribute to enhancing brand value, preserving traditional craft villages, diversifying OCOP products in association with local tourism, as well as promoting agricultural  development and building the new countryside.

From now to the end of 2022, the HPA will continue to coordinate with Chuong My and My Duc districts to organize Festivals promoting OCOP and Agricultural Products associated with Hanoi's tourism 2022 to strengthen trade linkage between the city and provinces and cities across the country in farm produce consumption.
