On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the US-Vietnam diplomatic relations, Adam Sitkoff, executive director of AmCham Hanoi, has shared with Hanoitimes his thought about US-Vietnam relations and the outlook of economic ties.
"We all have a responsibility to continue building the ties of trust and friendship that ground our relationship, from security cooperation and health to business and people-to-people ties," says US Ambassador to Vietnam Daniel Kritenbrink.
Trade between the two former war foes has risen from US$450 million in 1995 to US$77 billion in 2019. The US is now Vietnam’s largest export market.
