The international aviation industry is an opportunity for Hanoi enterprises to get involved in the global aviation industry supply chain, Nguyen Dinh Thang, Deputy Director of the city's Department of Industry and Trade, said at the forum held in the Vietnamese capital this week.

"Hanoi has always identified industry as a priority sector, as it plays a key role in creating sustainable growth momentum. With a well-defined direction and specific support policies, the city is striving to integrate industrial products into the global value chain and develop ancillary industries in a modern and sustainable way," Thang said.
He added that Hanoi has invested in building technical infrastructure for 43 industrial clusters covering a total area of 753 hectares to attract businesses in mechanics, electronics, textiles and high technology. The Hanssip industrial parks in southern Hanoi are a case in point, hosting many large-scale FDI projects.
"For the aviation industry, the most notable event is the signing of a cooperation agreement with a delegation of ten aviation companies from Kobe, Japan, to establish the Vietnam-Japan Techno Park complex in Hanssip Industrial Park," Thang added.
In addition, delegations from South Korea and China have held working sessions with Hanoi's Department of Industry and Trade to explore investment opportunities in developing high-tech and environmentally friendly products. The city has held specialized conferences and trade fairs to connect domestic and foreign businesses and create opportunities for product development and market expansion.
"Thanks to these efforts, Hanoi now has nearly 300 supporting industry enterprises that meet international standards and the requirements of the aviation industry," the deputy director said.
For his part, Stéphane Castet, CEO of ABE Company (France), said that Vietnam is like Morocco, which had only three to five companies in the aviation industry a few years ago and now has more than 200.

Vietnam's robust aviation industry gives it additional advantages. Despite the unstable geopolitical situation in the world, Vietnam maintains positive relations with every nation. Stéphane Castet emphasized that ABE Company will continue to help Vietnam find suppliers, customers and opportunities.
The Hanoi Aviation Forum 2024 promises a vibrant trade environment, business cooperation to develop a network of production chains, and high-end sustainable consumption in the aviation industry, meeting the requirements of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Transport and the Hanoi People's Committee.

Hanoi Aviation Forum 2024 also targets to develop a network of production chains, service supply and high-end sustainable consumption in the aviation industry, cleaner production and air transport related to consumers, contributing to enhance the image and position of Vietnam as an important key factor in the production and supply network of the aviation industry in Asia and the world.
Within the framework of the workshop, many activities were organized to showcase products and technologies, especially an exhibition with an area of 270 square meters to display models, equipment, technical infrastructure and logistics of Hanoi and other provinces and cities nationwide.
