In the first two months of 2018, Hanoi`s exports reached US$2,040 million. Many items have high export growth compared to the same period.
According to the statistics on Hanoi’s import-export status, export value in February is estimated at US$993 million, up 19.5% over the same period of last year. Thus, in the first two months, Hanoi’s exports reached US$2.040 million.
Contributing most to the increase of export turnover in the first two months of 2018 were computer components and peripherals, which rise 50% over the same period of 2017.
Import value in February was estimated at US$2,490 million, down 9.5% over the previous month. Some imported goods increased by 51.6% over year-on-year, petroleum increased by 42.7%.
To promote exports in the area, Hanoi has issued the Plan No.89/KH-UBND.
Under the Plan, the city focuses on 10 major solutions: further accelerating administrative reforms, paying attention to administrative reforms in the fields of customs and taxation, the procedures for granting business licenses and certificates, applying administrative procedures through the Internet to facilitate and reduce costs for enterprises.
Formulating mechanisms and policies to boost production and export: planning on development of industrial clusters, develop key industrial products, develop supporting industries, e-commerce development plan, project on management and development of logistics activities in the city to 2020, orientation to 2030.
Improving enterprises’ and manufacturers’ competitiveness. In particular, focusing on human resource training courses for enterprises inside and outside industrial parks, training and consulting for production and import-export enterprises on product design, trade village product and key agricultural products, knowledge on business integration, international trade barriers, new policies, market information.
