The conference is expected to attract 100 participants, and will be conducted both in person and online platforms.
Through the event, agricultural officials and farmers across the city will raise their concerns and recommendations on expectations that the municipal People’s Committee will come up with timely responses and solutions.
It aims to support farmers in sales and production, encourage their innovation to meet socio-economic growth targets, and seek to build consensus for the successful delivery of rural modernization and agricultural development policies.
The municipal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Hanoi Farmers’ Association are responsible for organizing the conference and compiling recommendations from farmers' associations in various districts and towns.
With the aim of achieving the objectives and working out solutions for the development of concentrated commodity production areas linked to production and product consumption chains, as well as the development of agricultural brands by 2025 and up to 2030, these agencies will also make recommendations for central and urban level policies.
The event is themed “Leveraging the Capital's Potential to Support Farmers in Cooperation, Digital Transformation, Sustainable Agricultural Development, and Rural Economy”.
With 406 branches, 2,460 sub-associations and 4,600 groups, the Hanoi Farmers' Association now has 466,400 members. The Association's working methods are constantly updated, and its staff receive regular training to improve their skills.
