The Hanoi Department of Construction has mandated that key agencies: Hanoi Water Drainage Company, Hanoi Green Park Company, Hanoi Water Company, and Urban Lighting and Equipment Company be fully operational.
They must manage localized flooding, fallen trees, and electrical issues caused by the storm.
As of September 6, 2024, about 2,416 personnel, 323 vehicles, and 139 pumping devices are deployed. The city's drainage system is functioning well, with no localized flooding reported.
Meanwhile, greenery and lighting units have mobilized 573 people, 80 vehicles, 100 chainsaws, and 100 hand saws to clear fallen trees and branches, with 101 trees and 202 branches reported down by September 7, 2024.
About 200 personnel and 50 vehicles are addressing public lighting issues, with 60 incidents reported but no traffic light disruptions. Agencies are ensuring effective drainage, clearing debris, and maintaining key pumping stations.
Green space units are securing newly planted trees, and lighting units are maintaining urban lighting and repairing storm damage. Clean water suppliers must ensure uninterrupted clean water supply and prepare solutions for any shortages.
The Hanoi Infrastructure Management Center will enhance monitoring and coordination of technical infrastructure units, ensuring timely response and resolution of storm-related issues. Daily reports on the situation should be sent to the Department of Construction. The Hanoi Department of Construction requires all agencies to follow these directives and submit daily reports on their storm response efforts by 3:30 p.m.Other News
