Hanoi to add administrative service branches for improved public access

The move aims to modernize public service delivery by creating a unified, transparent system integrated by representatives of local administrative units. The branches will provide cross-district administrative support regardless of geographical boundaries, facilitating a more efficient digital governance model. The reorganization is in line with Hanoi's broader goal of accelerating digital transformation in public administration.

The establishment of the branches will take place in three phases. The first phase, from December 1, 2024 to March 1, 2025, will pilot operations in Cau Giay and Tay Ho districts. In the second phase, from April 1 to June 30, 2025, ten regional branches will be established throughout the city, covering several districts. From July 1, 2025, the branches will be fully operational, with Cau Giay expanding to serve Thanh Xuan District.

Each branch will function as an independent administrative unit under the main service center, with its own staff and operational resources. The branches will take over one-stop administrative offices from the district and township governments, ensuring consistent service quality while integrating digital infrastructure for streamlined processing.

The Hanoi Public Administration Service Center is tasked with overseeing the transition, working closely with relevant departments and local authorities on the restructuring to maintain service continuity, prevent disruptions, and ensure cost efficiency. The city aims to make public services more convenient and accessible, reinforcing its commitment to a transparent and efficient administrative system.
