Hanoi's leadership will hold a dialogue conference with foreign-invested enterprises in the city in August, according to Plan No.170 signed by Deputy Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen.

Participants will include representatives from many Hanoi-based banks and investment funds, some foreign business associations, and between 50 and 60 FDI firms from various sectors.
The event is expected to create opportunities for meetings and exchanges between enterprises, foreign investors, and the city's management agencies while providing more information on preferential mechanisms and policies for attracting investment and expanding business operations.
Relevant departments, agencies, and district/ward people's committees need to proactively exchange information, understand the difficulties, obstacles, and proposals of the business community; and create the best conditions for enterprises to operate sustainably, the Deputy Chairman of the City People's Committee noted.
The Hanoi Statistics Office reported that the city remains an attractive destination for foreign direct investment, with US$1.1 billion of investment capital flowing in the first five months of 2024. Of the total capital, $1 billion came from 92 newly registered projects.
According to the 2024 plan, the city will organize six dialogue conferences on specialized topics to enhance exchanges, understanding, and timely resolution of difficulties for the domestic and foreign business and investment community.
These are dialogue conferences with enterprises investing and operating in industrial parks and zones; enterprises investing and operating in Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park; enterprises, cooperatives, and production and business households active in handicraft villages; firms engaged in the cultural-social field; foreign-invested enterprises in the city; and companies investing and operating in social housing, parking lots, and the environment (expected to be held in November 2024).
