Hanoi to launch IT applications in administrative reform competition

The Hanoi Times - The Hanoi City Department of Information and Communications will launch an IT competition at the end of December that aims to honour individuals and organisations who have made great contributions to building and deploying information technology applications in administrative reform in the capital city.

Through the competition, the application of successful IT in administrative reform by prize-winning individuals and organisations will be introduced at administrative offices in Hanoi to support Vietnam e-government programme, according to Pham Quoc Bao, director of the Hanoi Department of Information and Communications.

Candidates will include government agencies, civil service employees and cadres in Hanoi. Two special prizes (VND10 million each), ten group prizes (VND5 million each) and ten individual prizes will be granted to outstanding competitors.

The winners are scheduled to be announced at the end of February next year.
