Hanoi unveils 118 new online public service sites

The move fuels the city's administration reform which has been thoroughly conducted among the state apparatus.

The Hanoi Times — Hanoi plans to open 118 new online public service centers to improve access to government services for residents and businesses.

The move is part of the second phase of expanding the online public service model, which was approved by the Hanoi Administrative Service Center under Decision No. 207/QD-TTPVHCC on March 5.

The centers will be opened at 50 Vietnam Post outlets, 18 Viettel Post outlets, 25 FPT Shop outlets, and 25 FPT Digital Retail pharmacies.

On February 5, the city’s Administrative Services Center inaugurated a pilot online service agency at the Hanoi Post Office, part of the first phase of a broader rollout that includes 32 agencies in 10 Vietnam Post offices, 12 Viettel Post offices, and 10 FPT Shop locations.

This model aims to help Hanoi achieve the principles of "three no's" in public service delivery: no geographical barriers, intermediaries or physical documents, and "two zero's": zero administrative offices and zero procedural barriers.

It is expected to contribute to digital government, with more than 80% of citizens using online public services this year. It also aims to reduce the burden on government agencies by outsourcing certain public administration tasks to the private sector.

It is also an effort to fulfill the Politburo's Resolution 57 on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.
