Hanoi's economic bright spots in early 2017

After Tet Holiday, companies began producing as planned, so in the first 2 months of 2017, Hanoi continues to grow in many fields such as trade-service, industry, import, export, revenues investment at home and abroad.



 
According to reports from Hanoi Statistical Office, the index of industrial production accumulated in first 2 months of Hanoi increased by 5.1% comparing to the same period of 2016. In particular, the processing industry, making up 5.5%. The products are mainly increased in the city overall, comparing to the previous month. Inventory index products process industry reduced manufacturing.

In the first two months of the year, total retail sales of goods and services in the city is estimated at 365 234 billion, an increase of 7.1% over the same period last year, while total sales and services revenue in February reached 179 014 billion.

Also in the first two months, the number of international visitors to Hanoi continues to rise and reaches 572.7 thousand passengers in the first two months of the year (up 13% in the same period). In addition, Hanoi has promoted the organization of the New Year with many activities: Organisation of exhibitions, trade fairs, promoting tourism on CNN, etc.

According to the Hanoi People's Committee, in March, 2017 and the following months, the city will focus on implementation, through effective and feasible measures to realize the goal of continuing to promote economic restructuring associated to renew the growth model and improve GRDP growth rate of the City to 8.5 - 9%; in 2017, controlling inflation and ensuring social security; production support, ensuring balanced supply and demand of essential commodities; promoting trade, investment and tourism.

Before the construction requirements, development in the new situation, Hanoi also set goals to become "green, cultural, civilized, modern" smart and friendly city. In particular, the restructuring of the State budget ensuring consistent practices and combating waste; Investment continued socialization, autonomy, especially the public service units and public services; diversifying and attracting foreign resources for development investment; accelerating the construction, major projects; solving development problems and pressing issues of the city.
