Int'l advertising expo to be opened in HCMC

The fifth International Advertising Equipment and Technology Exhibition, or VietAd 2014, opened at the Tan Binh Exhibition and Convention Centre in HCM City on August 28.

Spraying and printing equipment, LED technologies, electrical signs, audio systems, display and lighting systems, carving and engraving machines, advertising materials, and gifts and services are among the products being displayed by 80 Vietnamese and foreign firms at the four-day event.



 

It will also feature a workshop on enforcement of advertising laws and the legal framework for the industry.

VietAd has tie-ups with many major regional advertising exhibitions such as the Korea International Sign & Design Show, Digital Signage Japan, Sign China, Sign Asia Expo in Thailand, Tran Hung, deputy chairman of the Vietnam Advertising Association (VAA), said.

The exhibition is an opportunity to foster development of the country's advertising industry which imports most of the required machinery and equipment, Nguyen Thanh Dao, general secretary of the HCM City Advertising Association (HAA), said.
