Japan foundation to host fifth operetta

The Japan Foundation Centre for Cultural Exchange in Hanoi has announced the fifth in a series of concerts it has been staging at its facilities in hopes of bringing musical diversity to the city.

The fifth concert will begin on Saturday February 7 at 2pm at its garage and courtyard in Hanoi. Admission is free on a first come, first serve basis and no preregistration is required.
 

 
Well-known Japanese and Vietnamese opera singers who will be performing at the event include Manami Suzuki, Daisuke Ohyama, Dinh Khanh Cuong, Phan Manh Duc, Nguyen Huy Duc, and Minh Toi.
They will perform a wide range of famous folk songs, which feature cultural value of the two countries such as Koujou no Tsuki (Moon over the Ruined Castle), Karatachi no Hana (Three-Petaled Orange Blossoms), Hamabe no Uta (Song of the Seashore), Chiec Khan Pieu, Ha Giang Que Huong Toi, Hoa Thom Buom Luon, and Beo Dat May Troi.
