They are VIETTOURIN, Golden Team Vietnam, Nam Cuong Tourism, New Royal Commercial and Services, International Golden Bridge, Victoria Investment Trade and Tourism Corp, Hanoi Entertainment Services Corp and VIETRAVEL HANOI.
The eight Vietnamese travel firms have been violating seriously the convention committed with the Japanese embassy.
Sources from a big tour operator in Ho Chi Minh City said that the company did not report cases of Vietnamese tourists dropping out their groups to seek illegal residence in Japan.
There are over 70 Vietnamese travel firms accepted by Japanese Embassy in Vietnam to apply visas for group tours to Japan. The policy of allowing travel agencies to represent their tourists in the visa application was promulgated by the Japanese government to attract Vietnamese tourists to that country. Travel agencies that are given this status must meet certain standards of Japan.
In recent years, Japan is one of the destinations that attracts a large number of Vietnamese visitors. The number of Vietnamese holidaymakers to Japan was estimated at 389,000 in 2018 and is expected to increase in the future as the tendency to study and work in the world’s third largest economy is increasing while personal income is also higher day by day.
