Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Tran Sy Thanh expressed these sentiments on November 15  at a welcoming ceremony for a delegation from Japan's Kanagawa Prefecture, led by Governor Kuroiwa Yuji.

At the event, Thanh extended his heartfelt appreciation for Governor Kuroiwa Yuji's warm feelings towards Vietnam and Hanoi. He conveyed his best wishes for the success of the delegation’s visit.

He also emphasized Hanoi's commitment to swiftly implementing the provisions of the cooperation agreement signed with Kanagawa Prefecture in October during a high-level delegation’s visit. He reaffirmed Hanoi's willingness to support Japanese businesses, particularly those from Kanagawa, in their efforts to invest, operate, and expand cooperation in the city through concrete and joint measures.

Governor Kuroiwa Yuji thanked the leaders of Hanoi for their warm and sincere welcome. He highlighted the increasing frequency and effectiveness of exchanges between Kanagawa and Hanoi, including the recent signing of the cooperation agreement, which has opened the door to broader and deeper collaboration.

The Governor noted that this partnership aligns with Kanagawa's broader strategy to enhance cooperation with Vietnamese localities. These efforts include business promotion events, cultural and educational exchanges, and collaborations in health care.

Notably, the upcoming 5th Kanagawa Festival in Hanoi stands as a testament to these initiatives. Governor Kuroiwa expressed his appreciation for Hanoi's support in organizing the event, which he believes will further strengthen the friendship and people-to-people ties between the two regions, contributing to the elevation of Vietnam-Japan relations to new heights.
