The newest cases drive the tally to 3,332, including 2,602 have recovered. Currently, more than 55,500 people are under quarantine nationwide.

Bac Giang became another hotspot with 31 newly-infected cases confirmed on Sunday.

Given infections in South Korea-invested Shin Young Vietnam Co, Ltd. in Tan Trung Industrial Park in Viet Yen District, Chairman of the Bac Giang People’s Committee Le Anh Duong asked local authorities to test more than 3,000 company workers in a short period time.

The local government considers limiting the number of foreign experts to work in the locality in the coming time.

The province will build some concentrated quarantine centers with capacity of 600-1,000 people each to deal with the worse situation.
