Defend the sovereignty

Viet Nam`s first Kilo-class submarine, known as HQ 182-Ha Noi, on January 15 was officially handed over to the Vietnamese naval force at Cam Ranh Bay in the southern province of Khanh Hoa.

China’s recent acts concerning the East Sea are illegal and of no value, and seriously violating Viet Nam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagoes.

An exhibition displaying nearly 300 photos, documents and artefacts proving Viet Nam’s indisputable sovereignty over Hoang Sa archipelago opened in the central city of Da Nang on January 9.

The Ministry of National Defense on January 8 in Ha Noi convened a conference to sum up the building of border patrol routes in the first phase (2006-2010) and implement the mission in the next phase.

An exhibition providing indisputable documentary evidence of Vietnam`s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagoes opened at Dak Lak Museum on January 6.

Viet Nam follows with deep concern the developments in the East China Sea as well as the worries of all engaged parties, the Foreign Ministry’s Deputy Spokesperson, Le Hai Binh, has stated.

A Vietnamese representative gave historical evidence asserting Vietnam’s sovereignty over its two groups of East Sea islands, Truong Sa (Spratly) and Hoang Sa (Paracel), at a workshop in New South Wales on December 30.

The Chinese press has given many pages recently on Vietnam’s first comic book affirming sovereignty over the Spratly and Paracels archipelagos.
