The concert consists of two parts. Part 1 excerpts from the work “A Midsummer Night's Dream”. Part 2 is the world-famous romances and arias with well-known opera vocalists of the VNOB. The program will have the participation of the Hanoi Voices Choir.

“A Midsummer Night's Dream” by German composer Felix Mendelssohn includes many excerpts such as “Wedding March”, “Scherzo”, and “Intermezzo”, in which the “Wedding March” is now sounded at many weddings around the world as an obligatory ritual. Through this performance, the audience will come to the colorful love story of lovers.

Felix Mendelssohn is seen as a musical prodigy, a brilliant pianist, a great musician, a talented conductor, and a master critic.

Part 2 is the classic arias and romances by great composers from Germany, France, and Italy with the charismatic lead of conductor Dong Quang Vinh. Audiences will be lost in all levels of emotions and music, from the quiet melodies of “Nessun Dorma” (“Turandot”, an opera by Puccini) to the magical sounds of the aria “The Queen of the Night” (Mozart’s opera The Magic Flute) and finally ends with the cheerful melody of “Brindisi” (the Drinking Song from Latraviata by Verdi).

The “Sparking Night” concert will be performed by the leading opera artists of Vietnam, including Thanh Binh, Bui Trang, and Tran Trang, who won prizes at the National Festival of Singing, Dance and Music in 2021 and will play the key roles in the musical play “Les Miserables”.
