The DARD collaborated with the Center for Integration and Development of Enterprises (IDE) under the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises to develop the patented software "Authentication process against counterfeiting" and make public the "Traceability system for agro-forestry, aquatic products and foodstuffs in Hanoi” at the website check.gov.vn.

So far, the DARD has managed and granted administrative account codes to 2,527 facilities, cooperatives, businesses and food shops in the city (an increase of 543 facilities year-on-year).

Other 495 businesses have received QR codes for traceability after registering on the website hn.check.net.vn, through which data of their over 5,900 products (an increase of 2,700 product codes against the end of 2018) could be monitored. Besides, more than 600 products from 30 provinces and cities have been granted codes, an increase of 200 product codes and nine provinces and cities compared to the end of 2018.

Notably, the DARD has piloted five establishments for agro-forestry-fishery products tracing and an online marketplace. The department’s two websites on traceability www.chonhaminh.gov.vn and www.myhomemarkets.gov.vn have been registered with the Ministry of Information and Communications as required.

The department has also created management accounts (Module) for the system of "Traceability system for agriculture, forestry and aquatic products and foodstuffs in Hanoi" and assigned functions for the administrators at different departments (Agriculture and Rural Development, Industry and Trade, Health, 30 districts, towns, production facilities, businesses and consumers). Other two management modules for two wholesale markets for farm produce have also been built.

Besides, the department is piloting a module to monitor the flow of products, keeping log of the production chain to ensure transparency of all stages from production to consumption. The system has been translated into English to reach foreign businesses and consumers.
