Nearly 10,000 participants are citizens and representatives from various city forces who took part in the rehearsal for the official opening of the “Cultural Festival for Peace”, which will begin at 7 AM on October 6.
“Cultural Festival for Peace” is the main event of the cultural activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital and the 25th anniversary of the "City for Peace" designation.
The city is well known for its cultural values that have lasted for centuries.
The culturally-rich values have represented Hanoi’s essence passed down for generations and nurturing the city’s development.
The Turtle Tower, the One Pillar Pagoda, and Vietnamese symbols make an impressive appearance in the lacquer art of painter Chu Nhat Quang.
The celebration marks Hanoi's 70 years of development since the people's army took over the city from French colonialists to its today development.
